democrats-There are too Many Illegal Immigrants to Deal With So Let Them All Have Amnesty

@ 08:43 PM (29 months, 16 days ago)

Current estimates put the number of illegal (no green cards, visas, work visas, ILLEGAL TOTALLY) in excess of 11 Million.  Rather than saying gee, this is a problem, my liberal friends say let's give up and let them all stay.  Guess who is leading the way?

“All Americans wanted fairness, and they got it this evening,” said Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, the Massachusetts Democrat who played a pivotal role in drafting the legislation. The bill was approved 12-6.

The Senate Judiciary Committee approved election-year immigration legislation Monday that clears the way for millions of undocumented workers to seek U.S. citizenship without having to first leave the country.

After days of street demonstrations that stretched from California to the grounds of the U.S. Capitol, the committee also voted to strip out proposed criminal penalties for residents found to be in this country illegally.  (An astute observor might suggest that this would have been an excellent opportunity to round up a huge number of illegals in one fell swoop for immediate deportation.  However, my liberal friends over at the INS would never consider ENFORCING THE LAW).

For good measure, aiders and abetters of illegals would be immune from from criminal prosecution under the proposed legislation.

Earlier Monday, as more than a thousand immigration rights activists rallied outside the Capitol, the Senate Judiciary Committee adopted an amendment by Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., that would protect church and charitable groups, as well as individuals, from criminal prosecution for providing food, shelter, medical care and counseling to undocumented immigrants.

“Charitable organizations, like individuals, should be able to provide humanitarian assistance to immigrants without fearing prosecution,” Durbin said.

  1. Illegals are crossing our southern boarder at a rate of 127 per hour, 2,700 per day, and 1.3 million per year. We're talkin' Salt Lake City, here. This is all illegal; none of them pay taxes, yet expect to use our schools and social services.

Are we nuts? Let's secure our boarders!

  2. Oh, and an astute observer might also notice which restaurants were closed due to their illegals not showing up, and not frequent them again!

  3. Update. Ted Kennedy increased the number of illegals from 11 Million to 12 Million. Do you think any of them are donors to the dnc or Teddy?
