Let's Play Iraq Jeopardy...Truth Seekers Win ... Lying liberals Lose...duh

@ 10:45 PM (24 months, 14 days ago)

"Loose Change" cannot rebut any of these FACTS and instead hides behind conspiracy theories, smoke and mirrors...just like the DNC.  Surprise, Surprise.

Did you know that 25 Iraq students departed for the United States in January 2005 for the reestablished Fulbright  program?

Did you know that the Iraqi Navy is operational?!  They have 5 -  100-foot patrol craft, 34 smaller vessels and a naval infantry regiment.

 Did you know that
Iraq
's Air Force consists of three operational squadrons, which includes 9 reconnaissance and 3 US C-130 transport aircraft (under Iraqi operational control) which operate day and night,  and will soon add 16 UH-1 helicopters and 4 Bell Jet Rangers?
Did you know that
Iraq
has a counter-terrorist unit and a Commando Battalion?

Did you know that the Iraqi Police Service has over 55,000 fully trained and equipped police officers?

Did you know that there are 5 Police Academies in
Iraq
that produce over 3500 new officers each 8 weeks?
Did you know there are more than 1100 building projects going on in
Iraq
?  They include 364 schools, 67 public clinics, 15 hospitals, 83 railroad stations, 22 oil facilities, 93 water facilities and 69 electrical facilities.

Did you know that 96% of Iraqi children under the age of 5 have  received the first 2 series of polio vaccinations?

Did you know that! 4.3 million Iraqi children were enrolled in primar y school by mid October?

Did you know that there are 1,192,000 cell phone subscribers in
Iraq
and phone use has gone up 158%?

 Did you know that
Iraq
has an independent media that consists of 75   radio stations, 180 newspapers and 10 television stations?

Did you know that 47 countries have reestablished their embassies in
Iraq
?

Did you know that the Iraqi government currently employs 1.2 million Iraqi people?

Did you know that 3100 schools have been renovated, 364 schools are under rehabilitation, 263 schools are now under construction and 38 new schools have been built in
Iraq
?

 Did you know that
Iraq
's higher educational structure consists of 20 Universities, 46 Institutes or colleges and 4 research centers, all currently operating?

Did you know that the Baghdad Stock Exchange opened in June of 2004?

Did you know that 2 candidates in the Iraqi presidential election had a televised debate recently?

OF COURSE YOU DIDN'T KNOW . .
  WHY ?

THE LIBERAL MEDIA DOES NOT REPORT THE TRUTH!

Instead of reflecting our love for our country, we get photos of flag burning incidents at Abu Ghraib and people throwing snowballs at the presidential motorcades.

The lack of accentuating the positive in
Iraq
serves two purposes. It is intended to undermine the world's perception of the United States, thus minimizing conse! quentia l support, and it is intended to discourage American citizens.

  1. Your source for your information is a military site? Are you a complete idiot or what? The vietnam was was started over what the government at first said was the sinking of some ships off the coast of vietname. It is a fact in this day that no such attack happen, yet a 20 year long war with the north part of Vietnam thats size matches maybe mississippi. How does a country as big as the the USA need 20 years and 50,000 lifes to fight against a country the size of mississippi?

And you wonder why people protested.

Wake up America 9/11 was an inside job.

  2. the reason that war was "lost" was because libs wouldn't let the country win the war, the US was united during the initial phase of the Vietnam War, we sent advisors in long before the Tonkin Gulf incident. The Vietnam War should be seen as one battle in the Cold War that we did eventually win. No thanks to the protesters, hippie types and pinko commies. The GWOT will be won despite the inneffectiveness of protesters and the "pussies of Jihad".

  4. Wow - sounds like someone who knows the deal.
The Tonkin Gulf incident shows just how things work. We blow something up (or it never happened at all)and blame it on someone else. Then the lying pretext for war is there for all the sheople to march to their deaths by. They repeated the process on 911.
We won Veitnam, Elmer? :???:Protestors are not the enemy - they are Americans making use of their rights and freedoms. The ability to protest is one of the things that makes America great. The day we can't protest anymore - you may as well move to China.

  5. Dugg I didn't say we won in Vietnam...I said that we won the Cold War and that Vietnam was but one battle in that war. I am not against protesting. It's just a very inept way of handling anything. Protesting will only get you so far. It's an impotent way of trying to change anything. e.g. Darfur...the libs hold all kinds of protests...does it make difference? It makes them FEEL better but has it helped one person in Sudan? It can't make a difference because what's needed there is a change of government and the only way that is going to happen is with military action (passive or agressive). Yet the genocide goes on. The US wants to help there but the AU refuses both UN, NATO and US help. So protest all you want, it doesn't mean *hit. I'll make up the signs for you bud, you can hit the street any time you want.

  6. The violence in Vietnam did not start with the Tonkin Gulf incident. The North Vietnamese communists started using violence on the democratic south when the political attempts at establishing communism in the South failed.

From 1956-1960, the Communist Party of Vietnam desired to reunify the country through political means alone. Accepting the Soviet Union's model of political struggle, the Communist Party tried unsuccessfully to cause Diem's collapse by exerting tremendous internal political pressure. After Diem's success against Communist cells in the South, however, southern Communists convinced the Party to adopt more violent tactics to guarantee Diem's downfall. At the Fifteenth Party Plenum in January 1959, the Communist Party finally approved the use of revolutionary violence to overthrow Ngo Dinh Diem's government. In May 1959, and again in September 1960, the Party confirmed its use of revolutionary violence and the combination of the political and armed struggle movements. The result was the creation of a broad-based united front to help mobilize southerners in opposition to the Saigon government.

The Tonkin Gulf incident took place on August 2 and August 4th of 1964. The incident on August 2nd has never been disputed. The one on the 4th of August is the one that has been disputed. The attack on the 4th was used as a reason for the Tonkin Gulf Resolution. It seems that we were attacked regardless. Even then the US did not expanded te war until a Viet Cong attack on two US Army installations in 1965.

If you look at Vietnam now it has slowly been taking on more democratic characteristics. Sen. McCain and others have been working hard to introduce American products and American companies are working to move some of their businesses there. So in a way you could say that we did win.

  7. Nice name calling 'terrorist'....I suppose you get info. from comic books judging from your writing. I also suppose in the last election you MEANT to vote for Kerry and either forgot it was election day due to lack of motivation and patriotism or went and pushed the button and voted for the President by mistake. I guess a rocket scientist like you must live in Roswell.

Tell that one to MLK - peaceful protest is the only sure way and is American as voting.

  9. That's wonderful news...the Hillary supporters can do their peaceful protest deal while the majority of Americans vote for a President that represents the majority.

  10. Look where it got MLK? Have you been to his gravesite?

The cost of appeasement to end the Vietnam War can be added up in the millions
killed by genocide by the likes of Pol Pot Dugg. That's what losing the Vietnam War cost and drug induced hippiedom is to blame.

Comment by Elmers Brother— 2006/07/03 @ 12:23 AM — (Reply)

  11. I admire MLK for using non violent protest but that in and of itself is not what changed the South. The National Guard was used to enforce integration laws as well as federal law enforcement. Protesting is all well and good. Our forefathers used it e.g. Boston Tea Party but eventually they realized they would have to take up arms against the British if we were to gain our independence.

    "Iraqi scholars seek asylum

Their studies near an end, the Fulbright students fear going back to their violence-plagued country.
    By Molly Hennessy-Fiske
    August 18, 2007
Ali Fadhil and his Iraqi medical school classmate promised two years ago to return home when their Fulbright scholarships in the United States ended.[...]
As violence in Iraq escalated this year, the student's family fled to Syria and Jordan. His father told him to apply for asylum. The student asked Fulbright administrators what to do.

They told him he had to return to Iraq, he said.

"They say this is a contract; you signed the contract and you have to be consistent with your objectives -- irrespective of all the changes that have happened in these two years," he said.
It's unclear how many Fulbright scholars have returned to Iraq, since the Institute of International Education, which manages the program for the U.S. State Department, does not track such data. The Iraqi Embassy in Washington doesn't track the scholars either, an official said.
