A Joke Institution of "Higher Learning"

One student chose a picture of himself shirtless holding a Miller Lite can for his profile photo. He's on the baseball team.

Another belongs to the "My cell phone is my best friend when I'm drunk in Kent" group and lists skinny-dipping as an interest. She competes in track and field.

Both are Kent State University athletes with profiles on Facebook.com, a social networking Web site that boasts more than 7.5 million users from high schools and universities nationwide.

But soon, Kent State's nearly 400 athletes will be banned from Facebook -- not by the Web site, but by university administrators.

Athletics Director Laing Kennedy recently told student-athletes they have until Aug. 1 to remove their Facebook profiles, citing a need to protect both their identities and the university's image.

  2. I first became aware of what a leftist hotbed KSU is back when those four students were shot during riots (1970 or 1971); the students were "protesting" the Vietnam War. Remember the song "Four Dead in Ohio"? If I recall correctly, the so-called peaceful demonstration involved violence and destruction of school property on school time, thereby on the taxpayers' dime. Those four students became heroes of the counterculture movement, a euphemism for anarchic leftists--much like that idiot Corrie who lay down in front of a bulldozer in "Palestine."

    Is it any wonder that KSU has the likes of Dr. Pino on the faculty?

    When parents send their children away to college, parents have no idea how the values they've instilled in their children will be undermined, both by the social activities and the professors themselves. The following courses at a university are often nothing more than propaganda machines: history, sociology, comparative religions, literature. You might think of other courses to add to the list. Sometimes the propaganda spreading is subtle, somtimes not. Now we have sites such as Facebook adding even more to the moral deterioration of young people.

    I shudder to think what the world will be like in 20 years--when these children become "the establishment"!

  3. We are already starting to feel that corruption, AOW... The hippies that were protesting the Vietnam War are currently the "establishment"... They are folks running the Democratic Party, like Kerry, ect. Not only that, but they are training their kids to follow in their footsteps, so college is nothing more than polish on that product.

    For us conservatives, paying a small fortune to see our kids receive very little actual education while being submerged in that kind of environment is terrible!

  5. I was in one of Pino's classes and I was not brainwashed. Students at Kent aren't as fucking stupid as you think. Just because a professor says or does something doesn't mean we follow it unquestionably. Hell, half of us don't attend lectures anyway.

  20. I think you are right, Dugg. Trade school is equitable; you can learn a skill, and don't have to go through reams of unrelated classes to get your education.

    After trade school and working as a nursing aide for years, I checked out what it would take to get an associate's in nursing... Before I could even apply for the program, I had to do 10-12 credit hours of stuff like "creative writing."

    WTF? I'm an adult, don't waste my time... But it's all about how much money a college can squeeze out of you, I suppose.

I have sent emails to all my contacts to sign that same petition. And I contacted the FBI and told them I was dissapointed that they havent followed up on this pos. And I am trying to think up new ways to get the word out.
