Chavez Claims Venezuela Arms Buildup is in Anticipation of Imminent United States Invasion

An explanation for Hugo's behavior could be frequent hops over the border into Columbia for some communing with nature = plant life = drugs.

Dictator Hugo seems to have a penchant for giving his buddies nicknames.  Chavez, who has nicknamed President Bush "the devil," has now nicknamed Secretary Rumsfeld "Mr. Dog".  I have nicknamed Chavez "msfullofhotair".

Meanwhile, the jokester recently closed deals with Russia worth roughly US$3 billion (euro2.4 billion) for 24 Sukhoi Su-30 fighter jets, 53 military helicopters and 100,000 Kalashnikov rifles. Venezuela is also obtaining a license for the first Kalashnikov rifle factory in Latin America.

Chavez also said Venezuela will soon install Chinese-made radar and an advanced air-defense system equipped with anti-aircraft missiles capable of shooting down approaching enemy warplanes. 

Chavez claimed the new military hardware is purely for defense. He claims the United States plans to invade this South American nation to seize control of its immense oil reserves.

Yeah right.  The only invasion will be the one into Columbia Chavez runs to seize to cradle of drug trafficking for himself. 

Chavez dresses to impress........Former Congressman Foley and Former Governor McGreevey and Barney Franks?

  2. No kidding, Barry. The trouble with Foley is that cut and run Dems are using this jerk's behavior to characterize the party in an attempt to lead voters away from voting GOP or away from the polls in general...

    Then who's going to face down Chavez if the day arises? Nancy Pelosi? Hillary Clinton?

    This is a story that has run its course. Foley is out. Maybe someone will prosecute him. Sounds like a good idea. Has anything been heard from the kid's parents?

    No doubt the Republicans have a bombshell or two in reserve and may be force to use one since the demlibs are making hay with this.

    The demlibs should be ashamed of use this for political gain AFTER the resignation which the Republicans unanimously were behind. Simple political bullshit.

    Meanwhile the demlibs must want their own gay Chavez outfits complete with parrot.

  8. You are mixing up your nationalities with the Dunkin Donuts deal. Middle Easterners and Sub Asians own the Dunkin Donuts. The savages in Venezuela don't even have Krispy Kreme and it's not like Hugo got any while in Cuba. The geography point to a takeover of Columbia to allow Hugo to cut out his supplier. Fear of a US invasion is the conspiracy. The outfit and parrot are well....gay.

  9. What's his next move? Do you think he worked out a deal with Castro to annex Cuba when El Presidente kicks the bucket? Will Grenada or the Bahamas be next? If he's importing Russian weapons why wouldn't he want to start a Dunkin' Donuts franchise down there? Maybe he was going through the DT's when he was at the UN last month.

  10. A good point. Maybe he needs the donuts after the drugs. Seriously, Columbia is right next door. He doesn't need much in the way of weapons for friendly takeovers in the Caribean.

    I would fight him on Cuba however. I have pegged that as the next home of the UN and the Palestinians. UN attendance thereafter is still optional. The US keeps GITMO.
