Bad news for real terrorists and their helpers.  Bad news for the demlib paranoid conspiracy theorists.  The Men in Black are BACK.  BIG VICTORY FOR THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION.

The Bush administration can continue its warrantless surveillance program while it appeals a judge's ruling that the program is unconstitutional, a federal appeals court ruled Wednesday.

The president has said the program is needed in the war on terrorism; opponents argue it oversteps constitutional boundaries on free speech, privacy and executive powers.

The unanimous ruling from a three-judge panel of the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals gave little explanation for the decision. In the three-paragraph ruling, judges said that they balanced the likelihood an appeal would succeed, the potential damage to both sides and the public interest.

The Bush administration applauded the decision.

"We are pleased to see that it will be allowed to continue while the Court of Appeals examines the trial court's decision, with which we strongly disagree," Deputy White House press secretary Dana Perino said in a statement.

I'd like to believe it would be more productive to keep an open mind, regardless of party, so as to be able to understand one another, and that doesn't mean we need to agree, but strong opinions leave no room for growth. A stagnet mind is just that...still, silent and without substance. It is a brick wall. One can go no further. There is nothing left to learn. Just curious, but I have a question for you; do you respect those who have taken our Constitutional Rights from us in order to gain even more control? We have had (and probably will continue to) many freedoms stolen from us. Do you even believe in the Constitution or do you feel it should be allowed to be rewriten by our current Administration to gain more control?

    Research first how our country has been taken out of the hands of ones who love it, sum up the total of our God given Rights that we have been stripped of, and I'd appreciate a reply.

    Are we to assume then, Darby, that you are a moral relativist? Is there no right? No wrong? If these things do exist, then how do you define them? You mention "God-given rights". You believe in God, then? Has he a purpose in a world of situational ethics? A world of buffet style behavioralism?

    I am not talking about politics. I am genuinely curious as to how you can defend a statement that suggests compomise is a core value and mention God just a few words later. After all, in most systems of belief he/she/it is a law-giver or at the least the definer of appropriate conduct.

YOU are the one writing some seriously broad assumptions, so if you want to lay out some FACTS supporting those assumptions, I will be happy to discuss them with you. Also please list the ways your day to day life has been adversely affected by the action of the 6th Circuit and we can review that as well. I have ZERO interest in responding to your "conclusions". Facts yes. Finally try rereading your own advice about keeping an open mind. To me, yours seems pretty much made up but if you want an open discussion on this issue, please respond factually.   13. First, I do not play games and everything I write I can back up with facts. I was expecting a reply in regards to our Rights as American citizens being continually trampled upon. Was I assuming I would receive a reply? It sure does look that way. And who on earth is playing games? I'm not the one who answered a question with a question. Does any of this sound familiar to you Barry? Anyone who has been AWAKE for the past 6 years knows the facts. And which conclusions are you speaking of?
    1) The FACT that we must keep an open mind, for without doing so, there is no room for growth?
    2) The FACT that many of our freedoms have been trampled on and asking if you respected that?
    3) The FACT that if you truly loved your country, you would not be backing the party who is eagerly taking it to the depths of destruction?

    What assumptions are you speaking of? For, I only speak FACTS!

    And you asked how my life has been affected by this new ruling? Barry? That question alone, answers all I need to know. When are you going to say, Enough is Enough, that this Administration will no longer lead you around on that short lease? They are all up there laughing at you, sorry to say, laughing at all those who continue to be brainwashed, unable to see the truth...their having a FIELD DAY with folks like you!!!
    And it is this 'stinkin' thinkin' that has brought us to where we are today.

  14. Sorry.....still no facts. What rights of YOURS have been trampled? If you are looking for a fight over your assumptions go somewhere else. Send a nasty email to Bill O'Reilly. If you have real facts, not assumptions labeled as facts, bring them on. The economony is good. Terrorist acts in the United States are down. Those are facts.
