Pierre Gemayel, Lebanese Cabinet Member Assasinated, Beirut Remains in Turmoil
It is doubtful things are ever going to be calm in that particular neck of the woods. Perhaps it is in the gene cesspool over there. The slaying will certainly heighten political tensions in Lebanon, where the leading Muslim Shi'ite party Hizballah has threatened to topple the government if it does not get a bigger say in Cabinet decision-making. Personally I was about to invest in Beirut real estate thinking values are low, but I think I will wait until they go down even further.
GrandView Residence will be an owner occupied 4 story building with 60% natural stone
facade, designed with the strictest safety and construction codes. This building will have
double walls, made up of two 10cm blocks with 5cm gap in between as well as double glazed
windows and sliding doors in aluminum framing providing air tight construction for cool
summers and warm winters.
The front view is absolutely gorgeous with nothing but open space below all the way to
Beirut and the Mediterranean in the horizon, while nature awaits you in the back with
rolling hills and mountain tops covered with pine trees.

Gemayel was shot in his car in Jdeideh, a Christian neighborhood, his constituency on the northern edge of Beirut, witnesses said. A car rammed his vehicle from behind and then a gunman stepped out and shot him at point-blank range, they said. This scene is right out of the Godfather.
