Prince and Philadelphia Eagles to play at Super Bowl

@ 07:04 PM (35 months, 28 days ago)

What can I say a dream come true?  If only Dave Chappelle was there to take on Prince.  Funk rock veteran Prince will perform during the halftime show at the Super Bowl in February.  Prince, the 48-year-old Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee who rose to fame on the strength of such tunes as "Little Red Corvette" and "Let's Go Crazy," will perform at Dolphin Stadium near Miami on Sunday, February 4.

  2. Believe it or not, music historians will view him in the top three of his generation.

  3. Just goes to show how wrong and stupid historians are.

I hope the Beagles do make the SB - so the Ravens can win it by 40 points.

  4. Who are your top five smart guy from Prince's generation. The Ravens have nada. Jags all the way baby.

Comment by Ernie Els— 2006/12/13 @ 08:49 AM — (Reply)

  5. I know many consider Prince a musical genius. I wouldn't go that far.

  6. Who are your top five of Prince's generation? Surely you agree with Ernie that the Ravens are going nowhere.

  7. Prince will be singin - Purple Reign, Purple Pain - as Ray picks another one off.

  8. Lewis will eventually go to the Hall of Fame no doubt. He is past his prime and is rapidly becoming a dinosaur. Brian Billick is a self promoting time bomb waiting to blow up and take the Ravens with him. The poor Baltimore residents realize the Ravens are the football version of the perenially losing Orioles whose glory days are in the rearview mirror.

    Prince scoffs at the Ravens.

  9. The Jags got their coach from Baltimore. Who, BTW, have 2 other linebackers right now better than RL - who is still damn good and nowhere near a dinosaur.
The Ravens are a perennial contender - unlike your Jags - who have never won anything.

    Comment by Dugg— 2006/12/13 @ 09:37 PM — (Reply)

  10. Just a second. Are you going racist? Just because the Jags like the Eagles have a quarterback of color is no reason to diss them. Are you turning into Jimmy the Greek / Tommy LaSorda / Rush Limbaugh?

    Comment by Barry G.— 2006/12/13 @ 09:45 PM — (Reply)

  11. What are you talking about? Forget the fact I never mentioned anything about the QB's or race - but the Ravens have Steve McNair in case you forgot.

You argue like a true republican.

  12. Take it easy Dugg. Just trying to get a rise out of you. That being said, I think the Jags will be a dangerous playoff team as will the Ravens. The Eagles might if they hammer the hated Giants on Sunday afternoon.

  13. last years Ravens didn't do all that well unless 6-10 is what you call a contender

Comment by Elmers Brother— 2006/12/13 @ 10:17 PM — (Reply)

  14. Last year sucked - but they've made the playoffs 4 out of the last 6 - and the two years they didn't they were expected to be better. They're hardly the Orioles.

The Jags will lose in the first round. They're up and down for the last 3 years.

The Eagles look better with Garcia.

Pittsburgh in 2 weeks, Elmer. That loss will secure a losing season for the Squeelers.

    Comment by Dugg— 2006/12/13 @ 10:28 PM — (Reply)

  15. I never said the Steelers were perennial winners like you said of the Ravens. I admit they're having a good year...Super Bowl material...I don't know...anyway how many SB's have they won? One? vs what 5 for my Steelers. Don't worry the Ravens will have a dynasty eventually.
