      If you want to know just how effective the mainstream media is, it is
amazing how many people that fall into the categories above think Bush is
screwing them and Bill Clinton was the greatest President ever.  If any
democrat is elected, ALL of them say they will repeal the Bush tax cuts and
a good portion of the people that fall into the categories above can't wait
for it to happen.  This is like the movie The Sting with Paul Newman; you
scam somebody out of some money and they don't even know what happened.

  4. Thanks for the add back Brooke, I will keep my eye out for it. I'm an ABC man Brooke. As a result by my math since McCain = Hillary that leads me to Obama. The way I figure it, that will end the Clinton Clinton Bush generation. Maybe my head is in the shitter but I am thinking that perhaps something new might not be a bad thing. The two inspirational Presidents in my lifetime have been Reagan and JFK. Reagan unfortunately isn't running this year. JFK turned out to be way more conservative than anyone thought and when you think about it Obama's health care plan is actually a conservative plan.

    Your values are INCORRECTLY CALCULATED based on TAX BRACKET PERCENTAGES rather than on the EFFECTIVE TAX RATES.

    EXAMPLE: 30,000 Single.

    This income falls under 28% bracket according to 2000 federal tax rule and under 15% bracket according to 2007 rule.

    You allege that 2000 tax is 0.28*30,000=8,400 and 2007 tax is 0.15*30,000=4,500. This yields a substantial net difference $3,900

    The truth is that tax is NOT calculated by multiplying taxable income by TAX BRACKET PERCENTAGE.

    According to 2000 and 2007 rules, taxes for 30,000 single are determined as follows:

    2000
    $3,780.00 plus 28.00% of taxable income over $27,850.00 http://www.va.gov/publ/direc/finance/00ga2_02Bul.htm

    2007
    $747.00 plus 15.0% of taxable income over $10,120.00

    Based on those rules

    I hope that we are in the same boat on what a definition of a lier is. To me, a lier is someone who dispenses incorrect information WHILE KNOWING that the information is incorrect.

    Could you present LOGICAL ARGUMENTS AND FACTS proving that the numbers in Barry G. post are correct? Also, could you explain how exactly the numbers in his post tell that Hillary is a lier.

    You can call me elitist, but in my book, referring to "butt kissing" does not constitute a logical argument.

  12. OK, I could make a correction and replace "lier" by "liar". You got me there.

    Will you correct your grossly incorrect numbers? Perhaps not to you, but there is a significant difference between a reduction from 4,988 to 4,109 and a reduction from 8,400 to 4,500. By presenting the incorrect numbers, you are a lier.

    Oh, never mind, I should have surmised earlier that reasoning and a civilized discussion is not something that you are accustomed to. Please have fun speaking to your likes. I do not intend to throw any more pearls.
