Hillary Vows to Fight on for Edwards’ Endorsement - Unfazed By Endorsement of Obama

@ 08:17 PM (18 months, 17 days ago)

Just moments after former presidential candidate John Edwards endorsed Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill) for president, Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY) vowed to “continue the fight” for Edwards’ endorsement.

“My friends, I will fight for the endorsement of John Edwards, even if it takes all summer,” she told supporters in Louisville, Kentucky. “I have not begun to fight for this endorsement!”

The New York senator appeared to brush off Mr. Edwards’ endorsement of Sen. Obama, saying, “I don’t know what that has to do with anything.”

While Sen. Clinton acknowledged that Sen. Edwards had made a joint appearance with Sen. Obama in which he endorsed the Illinois senator, she said, “If you think that’s going to make me give up trying to get John Edwards’ endorsement, you’ve got another thing coming.”

She said that she was also “unconcerned” that Sen. Edwards had recently gotten a new phone number and not shared it with her.

“Anyone who believes that I’m going to be deterred by an obstacle like that doesn’t know what I’m made of,” she said. “Mark my words, I am going to get that endorsement.”

Sen. Clinton’s aides refused to comment on her quest for Edwards’ endorsement, saying that they were too busy hiding copies of this week’s Time magazine from her.

  1. Snake Edwards had to wait to see who was the likely winner so he didn't blow a veep chance on a wrong endorsement.

  2. No way. Edwards wouldn't be the VP even on a Ron Paul ticket. It was just a question of Edwards using the maximum timing to Obama's advantage.

What Obama is going to need is a VP like Ed Rendell on the ticket. An attack dog who is viewed more towards the center. Hell...maybe Barbara Boxer or Nancy Pelosi. I can't stand those two and can barely stomach Rendell.

Bottom line is that this was a deliberate pre-meditated for a long time zinging of Hillary. Well deserved as well.

  3. I have no doubt she'll bail before the convention. She's probably trying to work a deal to mitigate damages, financial and political.

  4. Are you willing to even go so far as to defend Pelosula?

  5. I would like an expert opinion. Dr., what do you predict for Hillary's mental health stability when she finally faces reality?

  6. She will remain bitter. Her bittness will cause her to age consideraly. Imagine, Golda Mier. Got the picture in your conscious mind? Good, because this is what Hillary Clinton will look like in a few years. I hear commentators saying that she will run again in 2012. They forget that she is a woman, and sad to say, most women do not age gracefully. Rush limbaugh caught hell for saying this. Why? He was only telling the truth. If she decides to run, Americans will recoil at the sight of this "old woman." I believe that Americans are recoiling at the sight of "old John McCain." Wait until they see him on stage with a youthful looking, Barack Obama. But, getting back to Hillary, she will not only be bitter, she will plot against Obama until he day she dies. Remember, in her mind, Obama "Took Her Birthright Away." If he is foolish enough to put her on the ticket as his Veep, he had better hire a, "FOOD TASTER."

  8. Personally, I can't wait to see this bitch get hers. She has is a race-baiter, and divider. I keep hearing commentators say, "if Obama gets the nomination." There is no if, the question is when will "Broom Hilda," do the right thing, and get her fat ass off the stage. I liked the fact that the President called Obama out yesterday. Commentators were quick to say that Hillary came to Obama's defense. Horse crap! She was tryng to horn in. Everyone has forgotten this ridiculous win in West Virginia; where she played the race card. Hillary thought that she could milk this win all of this week. Hahahahaha...Get off the stage , you miserable bovine!
